Reverse scroll (make scrolling on SL like Lion)

Have you upgraded to OS X Lion at home, but your work still is keeping you on OS X Snow Leopard? And are you getting confused about which way your scroller works??

Ever since the scroller was invented in 1990something, you would scroll down to move the page up, revealing the lower part of the page.

Digital Color Meter OS X.7 Lion [sucks]

For what it’s worth, Apple have stripped back DCM utility in their new OS. WTF!? I used that all the time, now I can’t copy colour, hold colour or pick in HEX?!

A chap called Matt Patenaude has made a small app called Colors which takes care of all the crap Apple failed to care about. Thanks Matt.

BMW F650gs

I remember my father saying to me once, that if I feel I really want something, wait awhile and see if you still want it. If you do, then at least I’ve thought about it. This was to help my impulse buying I had when I was younger. At the time I thought it was just self-imposed punishment to make buying it all the more worth while.

Tim & Eric explain digestive problems

I went to see Tim & Eric live at Leicester Square Theatre with Ali. A sense of humor my mother would not agree is reflective of my age.

Copyright protection ‘Cinavia’ on PS3

Sounds like Sony has implemented their Copyright control on movies encoded with Cinavia technology. Most of the movies I watch are downloaded from the web. Most of them are available to me on Lovefilm, a monthly service I pay for all i can eat movies, or i own on DVD, or have already been publicly broadcast.

Android in-app Adverts

A game I paid for and played on the iPhone “Cut the Rope” was a fun game of trying to help a monster eat candy. Simple game, but highly addictive.

It has just been released on Android, for free – however it comes (like many Android apps) with adverts.

Find my Android

The other day I temporarily lost my phone and panicked. I woke up early in the morning, at 5am – thinking it was 5pm. Couldn’t find my phone. Thought I had missed meeting a friend that day. Then I realised it was morning, and that I should try use HTC Sense – locate phone service.

Advertising in OS’s

Would you or better yet, could you use an operating system that has adverts? Google are working on their web-based OS which would probably have the usual targeted adverts based on either surrounding content or user profile data.
